Mark Sanford Considering Run For Congress

Former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford is considering running in a special election for the 1st Congressional district, a seat he once held before he became Governor. Sanford was considered a rising GOP star until the very strange episode when he dissappeared for a few days. He explained he had been "hiking on the Appalachian Trail" but in reality he had been visiting his Argentinian flame in South America. The resulting scandal drove him from office and the national political spotlight. Apparently he is counting on the short memory span of American voters.
