Ted Cruz is fond of crowing about his knowledge of the Constitution and of the Bible. It seems he wants to be an arbiter and interpreter of these documents.
Often those who base their spurious arguments on Biblical or Constitutional sources use distorted and erroneous readings of the venerable writings.
Cruz, who is opposed to the recent ruling allowing same sex marriages in the United States, says he can find "Nothing in the Constitution to support that ruling."
He might look to Loving v Virginia to find a close parallel. This is the case that overturned laws against "miscegenation." that is, mixed race marriages. Had it not been for that ruling his father's and his own marriage would be illegal.
Cruz is a con man and an egoist.
